New edition of the technical regulations of the Customs Union applies since July 14th of 2019 ТР ТС 032/2013 "On the safety of pressure equipment".
The Executive Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) adopts the decision on the implementation of the updated nomenclature on June 11th of 2019.
The new version of the list for security requirements contains 219 standards, before that a similar list included 151 standards.

On January 8, 2019, the Eurasian Economic Union has published the register of pressure equipment subject to an EAC Certification. This affects all pressure equipment subject to the scope of the Technical Regulation TR CU 032/2013 On safety of pressure equipment.

On January 18, 2019, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has passed the register of attractions subject to an EAC Certification. The EAC Certification follows the procedures and regulations of the Technical regulation TR EAEU 038/2016 On safety of attractions.

After a transition period of a few years, the updated version of the Technical Regulation TR CU 033/2013 On safety of milk and dairy products has finally come into force on January 16, 2019. Starting now, the producers and suppliers of are obliged to inform the consumer of the amount of vegetable oil their products contain. This requirement only applies for products containing milk and milk fat substitutes.
Towards the end of 2018, the Eurasian Economic Commission has issued new standards for all wheeled vehicles and their respective components. These Rules came into force on January 27, 2019. The new standards complement the provisions of the Technical Regulation TR CU 018/2011 „On safety of wheeled vehicles“. The Eurasian Economic Union has defined the Register of mineral fertilizers in accordance with the EAEU customs tariff numbers. These substance are subject to conformity assessment with the technical regulation TR EAEU 039/2016 On requirements for mineral fertilizer .

In Russia, a new law on organic food has been passed. The new regulations aim to ensure the quality of the products and to inform consumers comprehensively. It is to come into force on January 1, 2020.

A new draft legislation in Russia suggests new measures to fight counterfeit products. It has already passed the first reading.

The EAEU's member states have their own requirements for water in pharmaceuticals. This complicates the quality control and creates problems with state registration.
Not only does the new regulation contain unified requirements for water for the EAEU's member states. It is also supposed to harmonize these requirements with those of the EU and the WHO.
On December 22, the Duma has passed a new law on the marking of goods with a special identification mark. According to this law, the government of the Russian Federation can decide which goods are to be marked with an identification number as well a special mark. The Duma shall also define rules concerning the marking. Furthermore, a list is to be created on which companies are allowed to do the marking by the government's order.

On September 5, 2017, the Eurasian Economic Commission has published an official resolution about the new technical regulation TR EAEU 044/2017 On safety of packaged potable water including natural mineral water.
A new regulation for water, gas and electricity meters is to be introduced in Russia soon. The meters will have to be certified according to GOST.

The new technical regulation TR EAEU 043/2017 On requirements for fire safety and extinguishing devices has been passed. It shall enter into force on January 1, 2020 and thereby replace the national regulations. Until 2020, fire safety certificates of the respective country have to be applied for.

Recently, we receive an increasing number of inquiries from German companies, to verify the authenticity of EAC certificates. Unfortunately we have to find that some dubious Russian companies are offering faked certificates. These certificates look very authentic. They are made on a form and have a stamp. These fake certificates are not being issued by an accredited certification body and not registered accordingly.

On May 17, 2017, the new technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union TR EAEU 042/2017 On safety of children's playgrounds has been passed. On March 3, 2017, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission passed the technical regulation „On safety of chemicals“. The compliance with standards of the technical regulation is indispensable for the import of products subject to conformity to Russia and other member states of the Eurasian Economic Union.
German manufacturers, are confused by the field of conformity assessment. A lot of them are confronted by the question: what's the difference between TR CU Certificate and EAC Certificate?
In fact, it is just two different names for the same process of conformity assessment, whereby both names are actually wrong or an incomplete and misleading translation.
On July 1, 2016, the new law "On standardization" enters into force in Russia. It tightens significantly the requirements for manufacturers regarding the compliance with the national GOST standards.

The Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) passed five new national GOST standards for devices for in-vitro medical diagnostics. The certification is made on a voluntary basis. All these documents are to enter into force on November 1, 2016.
The new GOST standards for in-vitro diagnostic devices are unified rules on the marking of these devices and reagents as well as rules for the preparation of the technical documentation.
In 2016, some new GOST Standards that the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology Rosstandart has agreed to are to come into force in Russia.
One of which is a standard that can be complied with on a voluntary basis that deals with „Aluminium kitchen ware with non-adhesive coating“. It sets requirements for the marking, transportation and storage of these goods as well as for their size.
The Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology Rosstandart introduces two new GOST standards. One of which will determines the requirements for food safety, the other one for safety of consumer goods.
The GOST standard on food safety shall come into force on July 1, 2016.
It corresponds to the international ISO / TS 22002-3: 2011 standards (Prerequisite programmes on food safety -- Part 3: Farming) and is supposed to harmonize the agricultural production in Russia with international requirements.
When purchasing goods, the majority of Russians prefers products that refer to the GOST Certification on their packaging. 77% of the population stated so in a survey by the agency WZIOM that was carried out in October 2015.
The Soviet GOST system still remains the most reliable guarantee for high quality in the consciousness of Russians.
According to the journal "Kommersant", it is intended to increase the fines of up to 1 million Rubles for the violation against the certification requirments and to limit the promotion of certification services.
