On September 2, 2021, the district court of Stuttgart issued a decision against Sercons International GmbH with its registered office in Baar, Switzerland. The court order stipulates that in the event of a breach of the following obligation:
“To refrain in future to give the impression that Sercons International GmbH is a “Russian testing and certification body” and/or a “Certification Authority” and/or a (Russian) “authority”
to impose a fine of 250 000 euros or orderly detention of up to six months. If a fine cannot be collected, the defendant must face imprisonment.
In the settlement reached between the parties on September 3, 2020, the defendant is obliged to refrain from giving the impression that the defendant is a "Russian testing and certification body" and/or a "certification authority" and/or a (Russian) authority.
