Additionally, registered merchants and foreign branch offices may operate in Rwanda.

The Office of the Registrar General (Rwanda Development Board) is responsible for registration in the commercial register. The process of registration is regarded as the simplest in Africa.

Legalization of extracts from Rwanda

Rwanda did not accede to The Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents in 1966. Therefore, all rwandan documents are subject to legalization.
