On June 1, 2021, the decision of the board of directors of the Eurasian Economic Commission No. 58 of May 25, 2021 was officially published. A new program for the development of standards of the Technical Regulation 016/2011 was thus approved. The Technical Regulation set minimum requirements for the safety of products during the EAC Certification, EAC Declaration or state registration.
The document comes into force on July 1, 2021 and replaces the obsolete program adopted by the decision of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission No. 89 of April 24, 2013.
The updated program includes 28 points: 25 of which relate to the development of GOSTs based on ISO, EN and СТ РК EN standards, 3 others to the revision of GOSTs based on ISO.
The standards will be developed and processed from 2022 to 2024.
The responsible member states of the Eurasian Economic Union are the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus.
With the future standards, the standards of Article 4 of TR CU 016/2011 will be implemented. The technical regulation 016/2011 defines the safety requirements for gas operated devices. The program is also based on the development of standards for the following requirements:
- technical requirements for rubber materials for seals and membranes of and gas operated devices and equipment
- technical requirements for outdoor grills, including contact grills
- technical requirements for free-standing cookers with built-in grill for outdoor use requirements for gas flow heaters for hot water preparation
- special requirements for hybrid devices etc.
