Table of Contents

Australia and Oceania is part of the world consisting of Australia mainland, islands adjourning Australia, and islands comprising Oceania. Each country maintains its own state real estate register and cadaster, which contains all basic information about real estate objects. Having consulted with information in registers, one may find out address, area and description of real estate and who owns it and which transactions were carried out with it. Access to registers may be restricted at the level of individual countries by domestic personal data protection legislation. Certain information may be unavailable for third-parties, thus a possibility for obtaining an extract shall be specified individually.

Extracts from the real estate register are required for:

  • confirmation of title to real estate
  • receipt of information about the real estate item
  • debt collection
  • analysis of prices for real estate
  • other commercial and analytical purposes

Search in the register is possible by:

  • full address
  • passport data of owner
  • cadastral number

We provide information without registration or subscription, just send us a request specifying your details in it and available information about real estate, for which you would like to obtain an extract from the register. You do not have to delve into fine points of local legislation, our employees themselves will form a request, will find lacking information and as soon as possible will send you an original extract and, if required, its translation into the language of the document's state of destination. You won’t have any risks as you obtain desired documents at a fixed price. By your desire we may apostille an extract from the register. Documents are sent by post, expenses for apostille will be calculated additionally.

Our offer:

  • Quite and reliable request handling
  • Convenient order using an online form
  • Result in PDF form by E-mail
  • Translation into any foreign language
  • No expenses, if information about real estate is not available
  • Apostille for an extract from the real estate register
  • Confidentiality and personal data protection
  • Excellent quality and delighted clients

Preliminary check:

For you we will check on a free-of-charge basis whether the register contains information about the real estate of your interest. Search by owner’s data is often available only if a legitimate interest is present.
Order a preliminary extract, and you will obtain the following information on a free-of-charge basis:

  • Availability of a record in a real estate register

Outstanding firm. We needed to request several archival documents and certificates from the Republic of Azerbaijan. The same also had to be translated and apostilled in order to be accepted in a European country. Schmidt & Schmidt promptly answered and clarified all of our questions. They clearly communicated with us about requirements, process and timelines. Through them we were able to obtain everything we were looking for, and they were professional and attentive from start to finish! I would absolutely recommend this firm to anyone in need of international documentation and paperwork, and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.

From India I contacted Schmidt & Schmidt OHG for crossborder advice and solution through a webform. Immediately I received a mail from Ms.Ekaterina Kravtcova who works as a consultant with the firm in the language i prefered. Though I initially harbored concerns about English-language communication as a non-native speaker, Ekaterina's responses were invariably prompt—often within hours—articulate, and impeccably precise, fostering seamless collaboration and complete confidence throughout the process. Her commitment to excellence sets a benchmark in the field.
Thank You Ms. Ekaterina.

Apostille and consular Legalization of foreign documents

Apostille and legalization

All documents have to be legalized for use abroad. The Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents unites 115 countries of the world and allows the simplified legalization procedure in the form of apostilling. Documents certified with an apostille gain legal force in all Convention member states after certified translation.

Today there are 115 countries that have ratified the Convention. Schmidt & Schmidt offers help with legalization and apostilling of official documents, that might be needed in courts or for notaries.

Certified translation

Certified translation

When foreign documents have to be presented to local authorities, a certified translation is required. These documents therefore must be translated and signed by a sworn translator and then certified by a notary, court or any other authority.

We work with qualified sworn translators and offer you certified translations of various documents such as contracts, extracts from commercial registers, court decisions and certificates into various languages.

The certified translations we offer will be recognized in more than 100 countries.

Digitalisation of EU Corporate Law: How the rules on legalization, apostille and translation of documents are changing

As part of the ongoing digital transformation of corporate law in the European Union, procedures related to the legalization, apostille and translation of documents are being significantly simplified. A new initiative by the European Commission, introduced under Digitalisation Directive II, aims to implement digital powers of attorney, ensure mutual recognition of official documents without the need for re-legalization or re-apostille, and eliminate translation requirements—provided that documents are authenticated via EU Trust Services.
