The Republic of Artsakh, or Nagorno-Karabakh, is a state with limited recognition in the South Caucausus, created in 1991 on the territory of Azerbaidjan. Artsakh is a presidential republic, with the president as head of state. Local currency is the Dram, the official language is Armenian.
