Registration of companies in El Salvador is a responsibility of the National Registry Centre. The Centre is managing the Commercial Register (Registro de Comercio).
Commercial Register of El Salvador was created in 1973, while the National Registry Centre was established in 1994. The headquarters of the Centre is in the capital city of San Salvador, with branches in Santa Anna and San Miguel. The Centre is also responsible for the national land registry, intellectual property register, and securities register. The Centre is an autonomous department of the Ministry of Finance.
