Financial statements from Serbia

According to law, companies in Serbia must submit annual financial statements. These data are reported in electronic form or in paper. Depending on the size, the law requires different amounts of data to be published.

Reporting of financial statements in Serbia is subject to the Accounting Act, Audit Act and other regulations.

Serbian accounting standards are based on the IFRS.

Financial statements are filed to the registry of financial statements which is being kept by the agency of business registers since 2010.
All companies are obliged to file their financial statements to tax authorities.

Financial statements of commercial companies must be filed until 30th June of the following year. Afterwards, they are entered to the registry within 60 days.

Companies which were inactive during the financial year are exempt from reporting their financial statements. However, they are obliged to file a respective declaration within 60 days after the end of the financial year.
