The Certification Oversight Authority has announced new measures to intensify inspection controls for certified products. This initiative, announced on May 2, 2024, aims to strengthen the verification of the authenticity of EAC certificates. This includes monitoring existing agreements between accredited certification bodies and authorized representatives, as well as conducting actual production audits at manufacturing sites and particularly inspection controls.
On November 11, 2021, the Government of the Russian Federation Ordinance No. 1923 of November 9, 2021 was published. The procedure for creating and maintaining a uniform register of expert auditors was thus approved.
The Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology in Russia (Rosstandart) approved GOST R 59424-2021 "Guidelines for remote analysis of the state of production and testing of management systems"
The Ministry for Industry and Trade, the Ministry for economic development of the Russian Federation and the accreditation authority have elaborated some temporary recommendations for surveillance, manufacturing audits and sampling as well as an extension of the validity of certifications due to the spread of coronavirus.
In the course of the corona pandemic, the federal accreditation authority Rosskkreditazija plans to develop recommendations about possibility of remote inspection controls and production audits.
