On February 8, 2022, the Board of Directors of the Eurasian Economic Commission began discussing changes in the procedure for developing the standards of the Technical Regulation TR CU 005/2011 On safety of packaging, including the procedure for conformity assessment. The amendments provide for the exclusion of certain items, changes in the schedule for the preparation of some standards, and the inclusion of new items in the program.
Some positions for the development of GOST for determining the content of toluene, benzene, styrene, acrylonitrile are excluded. The deadline for establishing standards for glass packaging for household chemicals, combined packaging materials, wooden barrels and wooden packaging, and for determining the content of methyl methacrylate and e-caprolactam is extended to 2024.
In addition, new positions will be added. The standards containing such items will be revised in 2022-2024 or 2022-2025. Among the developed GOST standards are the following:
- Chemical analysis of products made of PTFE
- Determination of aerobic biodegradation of plastics in soil
- Requirements and test methods for paper sacks used to collect seizures
- Hygiene assessment of organofluorine coatings
- Determination of the content of ethyl acetate, hexane and other substances
The discussion is scheduled for 30 days and is expected to end on March 10th.
