Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with Bank CenterCredit launched a new mobile service “Digital Notary”. This is reported by Zakon.kz.
Notarial services now available online in Kazakhstan
Now residents of Kazakhstan will be able to receive notarial services entirely in an online format. Using a smartphone it is possible to order a consultation, issue a power of attorney or a notarial agreement.
The mobile application supports the full service process — from submitting a request to paying the required fee. Identity verification is conducted via video call, and documents are signed using a digital signature.
The implementation of digital notarization is an important step towards eliminating bureaucracy in the interaction between citizens and notaries. We have already seen how notary services, which previously required the obligatory presence of citizens at the notary's office, are now provided remotely via video call. Since the launch of the project, about 350,000 notary services have already been provided.
Considering the high consumer demand for notary services, we scaled up the Digital Notary project on CenterCredit Bank's platform. This is an example of how technology works for the benefit of people, said Deputy Minister of Justice Bekbolat Moldabekov, as quoted by Zakon.kz.
The purpose of digital notary services in Kazakhstan
Digitalization of notary services will be convenient for all citizens and residents of Kazakhstan, but it will be especially valuable for specific groups. Citizens living abroad or in remote, hard-to-reach areas will no longer need to spend time and money traveling to the nearest notary. With just an internet connection, all necessary operations can now be completed online.
