The Federal Institute for Technical Regulation and Metrology signed an order to set up a new technical committee for standardization of musical instruments and sound engineering. Updating and expanding national standards in the field of musical instruments to deepen the list of requirements for goods delivered to Russia, unify the conformity assessment process and improve the quality of products.
EAC certificate, EAC Declaration or Certificate on the state hygienic registration serve as conformity confirmation of products when imported into Russia.
The task of the technical committee for standardization No. 486 "Musical instruments and sound equipment" is to develop standards in the field of musical instruments, sound reproduction equipment, audio frequency amplifiers and electric sound amplifier systems. There are currently fewer than 20 such documents in the field of musical instruments in Russia, almost all of which were adopted before 1989 and are outdated. As part of the work of the Technical Committee, it is planned not only to update the relevant standards, but also to develop fundamentally new regulations, the practical application of which will further improve the quality of musical instruments supplied to Russian music schools, educational and cultural institutions.
