On February 11, a public discussion started on draft updated lists of standards required for the implementation of TR CU 004/2011 On safety of low-voltage equipment.
The public discussion of the documents will take place on March 27, 2020.
Originally, the standard nomenclatures for TR ZU 004/2011 were approved together with the rules themselves in the decision of the Commission of Customs Union No. 879 of August 16, 2011. The currently valid edition is adopted by decision of the Board of Directors of EWK No. 120 of October 25, 2016. The directories now considered come into force 30 days after their official publication.
The changes in the directory include the removal of outdated standards and the creation of conditions for the application of relevant intergovernmental standards to ensure compliance with TR CU 004/2011. It is also including the adoption of a conformity assessment according to uniform rules and test methods.
All standards are applied immediately after the updated nomenclature is introduced. With regard to GOST, transitional periods of one or two years are set and the individual standards will not be fully applied until all EAEU member states have acceded to the standards mentioned.
