The Technical Regulation TR EAEU 041/2017 "On Safety of Chemicals" should come into force in Russia on June 2nd, 2021. The conformity assessment with the requirements of the technical regulation TR EAEU 041/2017 On safety of chemicals is carried out in the form of state registration either as a notification or as a permit. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has sent an information letter to the heads of companies and factories explaining the current situation.
Since the requirements of the 2nd clause of Decision No. 19 of the EEC Council were not implemented within the prescribed period, the original date (June 2, 2021) is no longer valid. The new date will be set by the Eurasian Economic Commission together with the governments of the EAEU member states.
Before the date is set, specific documents have to be brought into agreement. These documents describe the procedure for creating and maintaining the register of chemical substances and mixtures as well as the procedure for reporting new chemicals.
