The coming into force of the chemical regulations TR EAWU 041/2017 can be postponed

On september 29, 2020 a public discussion on the coming into force of TR EAEU 041/2017 “On safety of chemicals” has begun.

The technical regulation was supposed to come into force on June 2, 2021; provided that the procedure for establishing and maintaining the register of chemicals and mixtures of the EAEU and the procedure for notification of new chemicals has been approved. The elaboration should have been completed before December 1, 2018, but is now in its final phase. Approval is planned for 2020-2021.

Therefore it was proposed to postpone the coming into force of the TR EAEU 041/2017 to November 30, 2022.

The decision shall be made on October 29.
