On December 6, 2021, a public discussion began on the changes to the list of products subject to the EAC certification or EAC declaration with the issuance of EAC certificates and EAC declarations.
Changes are made in a uniform list adopted by Decision of the Commission of the Customs Union No. 620 of April 7, 2011. The purpose of the changes is to update the obsolete standards contained in such nomenclature.
Replacement of old GOST standards
The replacement of irrelevant standards is planned for the following product groups:
- Accumulators, lead batteries, alkaline batteries
- Compound feed for poultry, pigs, cattle and small ruminants, horses, fish
- Premixes for farm animals, poultry and fish
- Protein / Vitamin / Mineral Supplements
- Milk powder
- Synthetic detergents
Outdated standards have been replaced by new standards for all products. For example, GOST R IEC 896-1-95, which specifies safety requirements and test methods for stationary lead-acid batteries, is replaced by GOST R IEC 608-11-2015; GOST 16955-71 for compound feed for pig feeding is replaced by GOST 16955-2019.
With regard to synthetic detergents, the outdated GOST R 52488-2005 standard, which can now be used with the current GOST 32479-2013 standard, is expected to be excluded.
Introduction of the changes
The public discussion of the changes will certainly end on January 5, 2022. The expected time for the changes to come into force is 30 calendar days after the official publication of the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
