The technical regulation TR CU 033/2013 On safety of milk and dairy products is expected to be changed. The Technical Regulation set minimum requirements for the safety of products during the EAC Certification, EAC Declaration or state registration.
In the Technical Regulation TR CU 033/2013, the procedure for creating designations that determine the raw material composition of the product has been updated. It will currently be possible to combine different terms in the name, for example "yogurt ice cream", "quark from steamed milk".
The term “reconstituted milk” is excluded from the “dairy beverages” category. It is labeled as a “dairy product”. This is because the requirements for reconstituted milk are identical to the requirements for regular drinking milk.
In addition, a new term “necessary components in the manufacture of dairy products” is expected to be introduced. Such components include starter cultures, kefir mushrooms, probiotics and prebiotics, milk clotting enzyme. They are needed for the production of dairy products.
