On January 21, 2022, a notice to extend the temporary measures for EAC certification during the pandemic was published on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The preliminary procedure for EAC certification of serial production products during the COVID-19 pandemic was approved by Decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission No. 127 of December 23, 2020 and was valid until January 10, 2022. Due to the positive impact on the industry and economy it was decided to extend these measures for another year.
If a safety assessment of products based on a previously performed analysis of the production status and another on-site inspection at the place of business is not possible, an assessment using video and audio communication is commissioned. In addition, the manufacturer's quality management system is evaluated based on the documentary evidence. This determines the necessary conditions to ensure the stability of the products placed on the market.
The assessment must be necessarily carried out online, with the simultaneous presence of an expert / expert-auditor of the certification body and a representative of the manufacturer at the place of performance of the activity. At the same time, the location of the activity is given in order to check compliance with the information in the manufacturer's documentation.
New measures have been added to the preliminary procedure: inspection control of certified products is allowed to be carried out in the form of remote analysis of the state of production.
