On March 1, 2022, Order of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce No. 1865 of May 21, 2021 came into force. This approved the rules for TR marking of products on the Russian market.
The TR Marking is applied to products subject to certification and declaration in Russia according to Decree 982 and Decree 2425. These are goods for which the relevant technical regulations have not yet come into force.
Labeling requirements
- The TR Marking is only applied to products for which a certificate or declaration has been obtained in the prescribed manner. Manufacturers or sellers have to pay a fine for labeling goods without such certificates of conformity.
- The TR Marking is affixed to the non-removable parts of each production unit, packaging and accompanying documentation. The location of the marking is determined by the applicant or manufacturer.
- If the marking cannot be placed on the product itself, it will be placed on a label or tape attached to the product. If the packaging cannot be labeled, the package insert can be used.
- The TR Marking must be clearly visible and resistant to external influences in order to remain intact over the entire lifespan of the product. The width must be at least 5mm.
- Marking with other signs must not impair the visibility and legibility of the TR conformity mark.
Regulation 1865 is effective until March 1, 2028.
