From June 1, 2020 on, there will no longer be the possibility to produce and sell play equipment for playgrounds using old approvals. The approvals, which have been issued before the coming into force of the TR EAEU 042/2017 “On safety of childrens playgrounds”, or rather before 18 november 2018, are not longer valid and cannot be used as proof of conformity anymore.
In all member states of the Eaurasian Economic Union (EAEU) now apply the uniform safety requirements for equipment on playgrounds.
According to the technical regulation some equipment, such as slides, swings, seesaws, climbing complexes ecc. underlie an EAC certificate. For such products as sandboxes, playhouses or labyrinths the EAC declaration is mandatory.
Those products that are already sold can be used until the determined lifetime expires. After expiration of this period the use of the equipment is not longer permitted.
