In Belarus, the system of advance electronic registration for the apostille of educational documents has been in operation since March 3, 2025. However, the public has already raised questions about it.
What difficulties might I face when applying for an apostille in Belarus in advance?
The Telegram channel "Teachers" writes that it must be specified when registering for apostillization:
- specific type of service (apostillization or provisional legalization);
- Full name of the holder of the document; Type of document presented and its number;
- Date and time of submission of the documents;
Documents will only be accepted from the holder and only those specified in the pre-registration form. Any discrepancy between the document number indicated in the pre-registration form and the number of the document submitted for legalization will result in the rejection of the documents.
Currently, one person is allowed 30 minutes to submit documents. Considering the current work schedule of the department, a maximum of 4-5 customers can submit their documents per day. In addition, one can only register for submission if one knows the number of the document, which deprives current graduates of the opportunity to register in advance. We do not want to spread panic, but if the department's work schedule remains unchanged, only about 310 people will be able to submit their documents during the entire summer period, and here we are talking about all of them (diplomas, certificates, diplomas and others)
,writes "Teachers."
According to the channel's authors, this creates 'scope for corruption'. They therefore hope that certain changes will be made to the system to 'avoid problems arising for no reason'.
Which documents are covered by the provisional electronic registration in Belarus?
The registration can be done on the official website of the Ministry of Education.
Up to and including March 31, provisional registration for apostillation will also be possible in the previous format - on the basis of the department on the days and times specified for pre-registration. Registration by telephone or e-mail is not possible"
the Belarusian media quotes the Ministry of Education's statement.
