The Parliamentary Registry Office of Bermuda has relocated. The announcement was published in the Bernews outlet.
New location of Bermuda’s Parliamentary Registry Office
The Parliamentary Registry Office officially informs the public of its move. It will now operate from the following address: Belair, 42 Victoria Street, Hamilton
The office assures that it will make every effort to minimize any inconvenience related to apostille services during the relocation. However, no document legalization services will be provided until July 21, 2025.
Starting from July 21, the office will offer apostille services from 8:30 to 13:00.
The office management apologizes for the temporary inconvenience and appreciates the understanding of all those needing document certification. Any questions can be directed by phone or by email.
Who is authorized to apostille documents in Bermuda
Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory officially headed by King Charles III. The United Kingdom itself is the formal member of the Hague Apostille Convention and nominally designates the authorized officials for legalization.
Originally, the Governor General of Bermuda was the official authorized to issue apostilles, but these powers were later transferred to the Deputy Governor. Recently, the responsibilities have changed again.
Currently, the authority responsible for apostilling documents in Bermuda is the Parliamentary Registry Office, with the Parliamentary Registrar acting as the official in charge.
