The EAEU's member states have their own requirements for water in pharmaceuticals. This complicates the quality control and creates problems with state registration.
Not only does the new regulation contain unified requirements for water for the EAEU's member states. It is also supposed to harmonize these requirements with those of the EU and the WHO.
The Eurasian Economic Commission determines three categories of water quality – pure water, pure water of the highest quality and water for infusions. Pure water must have at least the quality of drinking water. Water for infusions has to apply to several requirements.
