Schmidt & Schmidt OHG offers a comprehensive, market-competitive remuneration and benefits to meet the professional and personal needs of our employees. It may vary depending on your role and location.
Our approach to remuneration consists of four main elements:
- Fixed salary
- Annual leave
- A range of benefits that may cover areas such as work-life balance, social security, health, and personal development
- Employee distribution plans and one-time payments depending on work performance
We aim to attract and motivate the best people who are committed to a long-term career within our company and are willing to take responsibility and be accountable for the long-term interests of all stakeholders.
We believe that how people achieve their goals is essential for the long-term and sustainable development of our business. As a result, annual performance evaluations also take into account employee commitment to our company's values.
During the performance evaluation, your manager will complete your performance evaluation report and arrange a meeting with you to discuss it. In these discussions, we strive to recognize employees who perform well in their jobs, identify areas for improvement, and discuss career steps. Salary increases or bonuses are not guaranteed, but we try to reward team members when they deserve it. There will be no forced ranking or other comparisons between employees, as our goal is to help all employees improve and develop their careers.
We expect managers to guide and lead employees. If you manage a team, you are responsible for the work of each member of your team.
Therefore, you should:
- Set clear goals. Each member of your team should know what you expect from them. Ensure that they understand their job responsibilities. Establish specific goals for each team member and the entire team. Review these goals during performance evaluations.
- Provide useful feedback. During scheduled meetings with your team members, offer both recommendations and praise when appropriate. Be honest and specific to help them understand and realize their potential.
- Keep your team members engaged. Maintain two-way communication between you and your team. Clearly articulate your expectations, but always take into account the motivation and aspirations of your team members. Discuss learning and development opportunities that may interest your team members.
- Maintain logs of important incidents for each of your team members. These logs help you assess your team but can also be useful when rewarding, promoting, or dismissing team members.
Our approach to remuneration, including any one-time incentives or performance-related rewards, is designed to properly motivate and reward employee success and ensure our compensation aligns with our business strategy. To achieve this, we assess individual effectiveness against our annual and long-term financial and non-financial goals.
