On January 10, 2018, Russia's Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology announced more than 400 documents concerning national and international standardization to enter into force.
This standardization applies to:
- oil and petroleum products
- foods
- agricultural machines
- pharmaceuticals
- engineering products et al
Since January 1, 2018 for example, the new GOST R 13799-2016 „Products of fruits, vegetables and mushrooms. Packaging, marking, transport and storage“ is in force. According to this standard, cans have to be hermetically sealed, the surface must not have dents, be soiled or have marks of corrosion. Furthermore concerned are GOST R 57150-2016 «Canned chicken meat for baby food“ or GOST R 23231-2016 «Cooked ham and products of cooked meat“, for example.
