The Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology Rosstandart introduces two new GOST standards. One of which will determines the requirements for food safety, the other one for safety of consumer goods.
The GOST standard on food safety shall come into force on July 1, 2016.
It corresponds to the international ISO / TS 22002-3: 2011 standards (Prerequisite programmes on food safety -- Part 3: Farming) and is supposed to harmonize the agricultural production in Russia with international requirements.
The GOST standard "Safety of consumer goods. Guidelines for the suppliers and distributors" is a practical instruction for the risk assessment, including the procedures of documentation and risk minimization to guarantee the compliance with safety standards of consumer goods.
