The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, chaired a weekly meeting of the Presidium of the Coordinating Council of the Government to Combat the Spread of the New Coronavirus Infection in Russia.
On behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, the government is finalizing the development of an updated plan to combat the spread of the coronavirus. It includes solutions to protect the health of citizens, including increased production of test systems for the diagnosis and early detection of infections. The government has prepared a decree. This means that the simplified procedure for the import and conformity assessment in the form of, for example, an EAC certification or EAC declaration of medical devices that are required to fight the coronavirus expanded.
The procedure was introduced in April last year and is now valid for a further three years. This prevents a shortage of various consumables and test systems, personal protective equipment and artificial lung ventilation devices. In total, there are around 450 medical devices. They are needed to help the sick.
