GOST regulating methods and conditions for testing furniture products will be updated in December this year. The draft falls under the TR CU 025/2012 “On safety of furniture”.
The changes concern several items, namely, from 66 to 74. They consist of terms of the application of guidelines and test procedures.
Types of testing subjected to changes:
- content of hexane, heptane, benzene, toluene and other compounds in air and enclosed spaces
- content of dimethyl phthalate, dibutyl phthalate and other compounds in air and enclosed spaces
- content of the concentration of organic solvent vapors in air and their coexistence
- content of methanol concentrations in the air of the climate chamber, etc.
