On September 10, 2021, a draft of updated lists of standards to meet the requirements of the Technical Regulation TR CU 007/2011 “On the safety of products for children and teenagers” was presented for public discussion. The Technical Regulation set minimum requirements for the safety of products during the EAC Certification, EAC Declaration or state registration.
The obsolete editions are to be replaced with these lists. They were initially adopted together with the Technical Regulation TR CU 007/2011 in Resolution No. 797 of September 23, 2011. Previously, the last changes were made by resolution of the Board of Directors of the Eurasian Economic Union No. 175 of December 19, 2017.
The revision of the lists is connected with the need to maintain the conditions for the application of the current GOSTs. Therefore, 14 standards are included in the new edition of the lists of standards for safety requirements for children's products. The standards specify requirements for the following products:
- Tableware (made of steel, glass, ceramic, etc.)
- Diapers
- Pillows
- Outdoor shoes
- Leather goods
- Bags, suitcases, rucksacks and similar articles
- Belts and watch straps
- Bicycles etc.
The old lists of test methods are updated with 14 GOSTs and 4 regulatory documents. In addition, expired standards are excluded from the lists.
As a result, the list of requirements will include 102 standards and the list of test methods will include 1609 standards. Some of the standards also have a limited period of validity: until 2022 and until 2023.
The public discussion ends on October 10, 2021. In the new editions, the lists of the GOSTs come into force 30 calendar days after the official publication of the decision.
