The EAEU has developed a program to update the standards for the technical regulation TR CU 034/2013. The technical regulations contain safety requirements for meat and meat products. The quality and safety control of meat products takes place in the form of declaration, state hygienic registration and veterinary and hygiene control. The type of conformity assessment depends on the type of goods manufactured (supplied).
The program contains 53 items that indicate the name of the standard for voluntary compliance with technical regulations or conformity assessment of goods, type of activity (creation, modification or revision of the document), responsible country, duration of creation.
The document contains standards with rules for production and distribution:
- canned meat
- yak meat
- boiled and smoked sausage
- horse meat
- cooked and smoked beef products
- minced meat, pies for baby food
GOST ISO with methods for the detection of proteins in food as well as GOST with methods for the identification of GMO components are updated and interstate standards for the determination of mercury in food, lead and tin in canned goods, rice and wheat flour in products for children are established.
GOST 18157-88 is to be revised in the future. This standard contains terms and definitions for slaughter products.
