On October 18, 2016, the technical regulation "On safety of attractions" has been passed in Moscow during the meeting of the Eurasion Economic Commission. The document was finally published on December 23, 2016.
The regulation was assigned the number 038/2016. It shall enter into force on May 18, 2018.
Subject to the compulsory EAC Certification according to TR EAEU 038/2016 On Safety of attractions are attractions with a high biomechanical risk exposure, i.e. with the possibility to do life-threatening harm.
Attractions with a moderate biomechanical risk exposure, i.e. with probability of doing harm in addition with serious injury and/or temporary inability to work, are subject to the EAC Declaration.
Attractions with a low biomechanical risk exposure do not require a declaration of conformity according to TR EAEU 038/2016.
TR EAEU 038/2016 contains series of clearly defined documents required for the successful completion of the conformity assessment. Furthermore, it contains corresponding safety requirements for the attractions.
