New regulation of personal protective equipment (PPE) in EEU

The draft amendments to the technical regulations of the Customs Union “On the safety of personal protective equipment” were officially published in April 2019 by the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

The first changes relate to the scope of the regulation. Thus, it was decided to establish that its action does not apply to PPE designed for military purposes and chemical agents for combating riots.

EU expands blacklist of tax havens

The Council of the European Union has expanded its "blacklist" of countries that do not cooperate in tax information exchange.

New regulations for determining the country of origin when importing goods into EAEU-States

On January 12, 2019, the decision №49 of the Eurasian Economic Union concerning the determination of the country of origin for the import of goods into EAEU-States came into force. Therefore all prior regulations on this matter have been cancelled.
These regulations exclusively apply to Non-EAEU-States!

Differences between the CE and the EAC Marking

The Register of Pressure Equipment has been published

On January 8, 2019, the Eurasian Economic Union has published the register of pressure equipment subject to an EAC Certification. This affects all pressure equipment subject to the scope of the Technical Regulation TR CU 032/2013 On safety of pressure equipment.

The register will come into effect on February 27, 2019. It regulates all pressure equipment which requires special permissions or information at the customs clearance.
