From May 12 to June 11, 2021, a project aiming to approve the list of fish products will be publicly discussed. The list is about the fish products for which the certificate of conformity according to TR EAEU 040/2016 “On the safety of fish products” or information about it must be presented during the process of customs declaration. The Technical Regulation set minimum requirements for the safety of products during the EAC Certification, EAC Declaration or state registration.
In total, the list contains three types of certificates of conformity:
- Certificate issued after the pet paramedic examination
- EAC Declaration
- Certificate of State Registration
The certificate of conformity required depends on the type of product. The document identifies the products and the corresponding certificates of conformity:
- Certificate issued after the pet paramedic examination must be issued for unprocessed fish production, including baby food
- EAC Declaration is to be registered for the processed products
- State Registration Certificate is required for a new type of baby food and for processed products
The project includes 22 names of fish products, including:
- ready-made soups/broths that contain fish
- filled pasta that contain fish
- crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic invertebrates
- smoked, dried, salted fish or fish in a brine
- fish fillet, etc.
In the document, HS Codes are given for each designation of products. When identifying products, both the designation and these HS Codes must be used.
