On June 8, 2021, the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission No. 57 of April 23, 2021 was published. A new plan for the development and revision of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (TR EAEU) was approved. The document comes into force on July 8, 2021.
The Technical Regulation set minimum requirements for the safety of products during the EAC Certification, EAC Declaration or state registration.
The updated plan for the development and revision of the TR EAEU replaces the measures of a similar plan, which was adopted by resolution of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission No. 79 of October 1, 2014. Any changes that updated the old plan will also be considered invalid.
The new plan contains also two sections:
- Development of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union
- Changes to the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union
Section I contains 11 points for the development of the technical regulations for the following products:
- Buildings and structures
- Feed and feed additives
- Poultry meat and poultry meat processing products
- Products for civil protection and the protection of the population in natural and man-made emergencies
- Materials intended to come into contact with food
- High voltage powered equipment
- Subway vehicles
- Light rail traffic, trams
- Nicotine-containing products
- Food for animals that are not used in animal production (unproductive animals)
- Building materials and products
Section II contains 42 points for updating technical regulations. In addition, various changes to some technical regulations are included in the document. This applies, for example, to TR CU 010/2011 "On the safety of machines and systems". This supplements the requirements for equipment for small hydropower plants, details the scope and individual provisions of the technical regulations and lists the machines and systems that are subject to certification or declaration (see Appendix No. 3 to TR CU 010/2011) updated.
