On September 16 a public discussion on the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) no. 144 of August 8, 2019, has begun. In this decision the draft technical regulation TR EAEU 048/2019 The requirements for the energy efficiency of energy-consuming devices was approved.
The technical regulation TR EAEU 048/2019 was supposed to come into force on September 1, 2021. At the same time, the form of labels for energy-consuming appliances of various types and the rules for their design should be prepared only on March 1, 2021.
Another reason for postponing the coming into force of the regulation is the situation regarding the coronavirus. In order to create optimal conditions for adaptation and conversion to new rules, it is therefore proposed to postpone the entry into force of the Regulation until September 1, 2022.
Requirements for some products may enter into force even later - one year after the originally planned date. This applies to products from Annex 3, 5, 6, 9, 12 - 14.
The public discussion will continue until 16 October 2020.
