First of all, innovations are provoked by different control methods in the territory of the EAEU countries.
The previous approach to assessing the quality of jewelry products raises concerns and distrust among buyers. For instance, the Assay Chamber under the Ministry of Finance is dealing with this issue in Russia, however, in Kazakhstan and Armenia private organizations conduct this process. Such an approach does not guarantee perfect quality of neither control nor product.
The agreement provides for mutual concession of assay brands and standards.
Thus, the unification of control methods will help reduce jewelry prices, and will also increase confidence in the quality of products.
Moreover, it is planned to create a Eurasian Jewelry Bureau in order to increase export of products. Such measures are intended for promoting EAEU jewelry products in the third countries’ markets.
