On October 8, 2019, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) amended the list of standards for testing drinking water.
One of the two GOSTs, approved in 2017, was updated.
An item 1 of the nomenclature will be expanded from 1 to 1(27). Every item will include various methods of testing, according to a new standard, in order to determine water safety. For example:
- determination of solids content
- chemical analysis of salt water
- determination of calcium and magnesium ions
- cation content
- determination of bicarbonate ions, etc.
A draft No. 169 officially enters into force on November 10 of this year.
Info! The lists of standards are formed in order to ensure compliance with the requirements of the TR EAEU 044/2017 “On the safety of drinking water, including natural mineral water”.
