Amendments to EAEU's technical regulation “On safety of chemical products” submitted for discussion

The changes in the Eurasian Economic Union's Technical Regulation TR EAEU 041/2017 “On Safety of Chemical Products” , initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, are intended to specify the scope of the current regulation. The adopted amendments will come into force 180 calendar days after their official publication. The Technical Regulation itself was approved in 2017 and will start functioning in June 2021.

The amendments include the following:

Artisan shoes and fragrance samples excluded from the list of goods liable to compulsory marking

Government Decree No. 1973-p of July 28, 2020 excludes the following types of goods from the list of goods subject to mandatory marking in Russia:

TR CU 020/2011, TR CU 004/2011 and TR EAEU 037/2016: the product list is updated

On 22 July 2020, the public discussion on the registration of changes in the list of products subject to conformity assessment started.

The first standards for floor coverings in Russia have been approved

On 1 March 2021, two new national standards for floor coverings will come into force.

A public discussion on amendments of packaging regulations has been initiated

On july 15, 2020 a public discussion on the draft for new modifications of TR CU 005/2011 On safety of packaging was initiated.

Changes on TR CU 016/2011 On safety of appliances burning gaseous fuels are planned

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Union has included changes on the technical regulation TR CU 016/2011 On safety of appliances burning gaseous fuels in the plan for the development of technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union.
