TR EAEU 042/2017 On safety of children's playgrounds

On May 17, 2017, the new technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union TR EAEU 042/2017 On safety of children's playgrounds has been passed. The regulation will enter into force on November 17, 2018.

The regulation demands two types of conformity certification: the EAC Certificate and the EAC Declaration.

An EAC Certificate is required for the following products:

  • slips
  • rocks
  • bobs
  • carousels
  • climbing plants
  • play towers
  • plastic coverings and rubber covers for sports fields and playgrounds

An EAC Declaration is required for the following products:

  • sand boxes
  • children's houses
  • labyrinths
  • flooring made of sand, gravel and wood
