Until May 15, 2020 a draft for regulating creation and maintenance of the register of issued conformity assessments has been discussed in public. These consultations also include procedures for providing information and for payments. In the register informations on issued EAC certificates and EAC declarations as well as other national proofs of conformity as GOST R certificates will be entered. It will be open for public and can be checked for information free of charge.
The new draft has been created in order to substitute older decisions of similar procedures, which have been approved by Decrees of the Government of the Russian Federation no. 201 of April 10, 2006 and no. 41 of January 30, 2008. The updated procedure will come into force on January 1, 2021.
The process of creation and maintenance of the register includes the activity of several registers at the same time:
- Register of conformity assessment certification according to the technical regulation
- Register of conformity assessment certification of commodities, which are presented in the list of products subject to certification (Government Regulation of the Russian Federation No. 982 of December 1, 2009)
- The national part of the uniform register of issued EAC certificates and EAC declarations according to the technical regulations
The information in the register will still be available free of charge. However, the federal board may decide to charge a fee when entering information in the register.
