Russian counter-sanctions law adopted in second hearing

The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a draft law on “counter-sanctions” in the second reading – a response to sanctions imposed by the Western countries. The bill is intended to introduce a ban on the import of products from the "unfriendly" foreign states into Russia.

Requirements of Technical Regulation On safety of perfumes and cosmetic products updated

The requirements of the Technical Regulation TR CU 009/2011 On safety of perfumes and cosmetic products are being updated.

Regulation on safety of personal protective equipment updated

On March 6, 2018, the commission of the Eurasian Economic Union has passed the resolution № 37 «On changes to the resolution of December 9, 2011 г. № 878». Officially the resolution was published on March 7, 2018.

The overall focus hereby is on the revision of the Technical Regulation TR CU 019/2011 On safety of personal protective equipment and the standards required for the fulfillment of the regulation.

Technical Regulation on milk and dairy products to be edited

From March 1 to 16, 2018, a public hearing about the changes to the Technical Regulation On safety of milk and dairy products has taken place.

The changes concern the terms used in the regulation and are meant to bring the latter up-to-date and to avoid dual interpretation.

Certification system to be reformed

On December 29, 2017, the head of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology has signed a decree on the foundation of a national certification system. This means that the previous system will lose its validity.

Certificate of State Hygienic Registration is limited to 5 years

In case of some products, the conformity with the sanitary-hygienic regulations of the EAEU between Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus has to be confirmed through the certificate state hygienic registration.
