The Cadastre in Kyrgyzstan is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Cadastre and Registration of Rights to Real Estate. The Department is a subdivision under the jurisdiction of the State Registration Service at the government of the Kyrgyz Republic which carries out maintenance of the land cadaster, cadastral mapping, registration of rights to immovable property and which provides state protection of registered rights to the immovable property.
Register maintenance activities are regulated by the law On State Registration of Rights to Immovable Property and Transactions Therewith.
The Department’s structure comprises the central office and 49 local registration authorities.
The structure of the Central Office comprises the Department on Registration, Development of Market and Real Estate, Land Cadaster and Land Use Department, Operations Support Department and GIS Centre.
Functions of the Department of Cadastre
- perform land use and cadastral works;
- provide data on real estate units;
- technical examination of real estate units.
The modern cadaster system was established in Kyrgyzstan with the help of the World Bank in 2000-s.
Extracts from the cadaster may be obtained in structural divisions of the Department or after authorization on the web-site.

The Cadaster of Kyrgyzstan is public. Data are provided after payment of a duty. The Cadaster is being filled.
Extract from the land register of Kyrgyzstan may be used for:
- confirmation of title to real estate
- receipt of information about the real estate item
- debt collection
- analysis of prices for real estate
- other commercial and analytical purposes.

Apostilled extracts from Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan joined the Hague Convention on simplified legalization of documents on November 15, 2010.
Thus, the documents issued in Kyrgyzstan shall be legalized under the simplified procedure - Apostille
It is important to note that validity of the Convention does not apply to relations between Kyrgyzstan and the following countries: Belgium, Austria, Germany and Greece.
It means that countries mutually do not use apostille for the legalization of documents. In this case, consular legalization or verification of documents as part of intergovernmental cooperation is applied.
The requests shall be processed within one business day. Courier delivery of the apostilled extract hall be paid additionally according to the courier tariff rates.
