Commercial register of Aruba is managed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Aruba (Kamer van Koophandel en Nijverheid Aruba), created in 1930. This institution represents businesses on different levels of power in the autonomy. It is also an advisory body to the government and Ministry of Economic Affairs. The Chamber also supervises the Trade and Foundations Registries.
When registering a company in Aruba, it is obligatory to get a business license at the Department of Economic Affairs. This does not apply to partnerships and individual entrepreneurs.
Non-residents of Aruba (except for Dutch citizens) cannot register a business in Aruba without a resident business partner.
