Since January 1st, 2021 significant changes apply to the process of registering EAC certificates and EAC declarations. Here are the most important points at one glance.

Declarations are registered by manufacturers, importers, authorized representatives or sellers, i.e. persons responsible for the safety of the declared products.
Who is allowed to register the EAC declaration: Updates

On January 1, 2021, a new procedure for registration of EAC declarations approved by Decision of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade No. 478 of July 31, 2020 came into effect. EAC declarations must be independently registered by applicants through the electronic service FSIS Rosaccreditation.

On November 6, 2020 the fourth meeting of the Interdepartamental Council of National Quality Infrastructure took place.

During the meeting, the question of the possibility of accredited bodies to work in the field of mandatory conformity assessment with the requirements of the legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union was discussed. 17 newly accredited bodies were added to the national part of the single register and 425 accredited bodies confirmed their qualification. 171 accredited bodies have been excluded from the national part of the single register.

From 1 January 2021, a new GOST standard R 54293-2020 "Production audit within the framework of confirmation of conformity", approved by Rosstandart Decision No 583 of 28 August 2020, will come into force.

This standard will replace the old GOST R 54293-2010, which has been in use since 2010.
