The Technical Regulation of the customs union TR CU 026/2012 On safety of small ships sets the binding safety requirements that apply to small vessels and their rescue equipment. It ensures the full freedom of movement of small vessels, as well as the rescue equipment for small ships, that have been placed on the market of the EAEU and protects the life and health of humans and animals, the environment and property. It also serves to prevent misleading actions against the consumer. The Technical Regulation TR CU 026/2012 is intended to ensure the uniform application and enforcement of the requirements for small vessels in the area of the Customs Union. It also serves to ensure the free movement of goods.

Conformity assessment process
The conformity assessment with the requirements of the Technical Regulation TR CU 026/2012 On safety of small ships is obligatory and shall occur in the form of an EAC Certificate.
Period of validity of the EAC certificate
The validity of the EAC certificate is 5 years for new small vessels and serially produced equipment.
