Products placed on the market of Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union (Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan) for the first time are subject to conformity assessment in accordance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) - TR CU in the form of the EAC Certification or EAC Declaration.
Technical regulation establishes its own requirements for the marking of product.
The products subject to conformity assessment according to the technical regulations of the EAEU, whose conformity with the requirements of the technical regulations has been confirmed, must be provided with the EAC mark of the EAEU in order to demonstrate the conformity with all legal requirements of the EAEU.
In addition to the EAC-mark, the manufacturer or importer is obliged to put certain information on product, packaging or marks in Russian or in the official language of one of the member states of the EAEU.
Marking of machinery and equipment
According to the technical regulation TR CU 010/2011 On safety of machinery and equipment , the machine must be clearly identified with:
- manufacturer's name and its trademark
- name of the machine and (or) system (type, brand, model, if available)
- year of construction and month
If it is impossible to put this information on the machine, it can only be recorded in the operating instructions. But the name of the manufacturer and his trademark and the name of the machine and (or) system (type, brand, model, if available) must be affixed to the packaging.
The warning signs and warning signs must be permanently attached to the machine.
The instruction manual must contain the following points:
- information on the structure, mode of operation and properties of the machine
- instructions for installation or assembly, commissioning, maintenance and repair of the machine and (or) system
- instructions for the use of the machine and (or) system and safety measures that must be observed during commissioning, during operation, maintenance, repairs, testing, transport, packaging, and storage and disposal
- storage period, lifespan. The machine must then be taken out of operation, repaired or disposed of
list of possible incorrect actions by staff that could lead to an accident; - actions of the personnel in the accident
- instructions for decommissioning and disposal
- information on the qualifications of the staff
Marking of electrical and electronic equipment
According to the technical regulations:
- TR CU 004/2011 On safety of low-voltage equipment
- TR CU 020/2011 On electromagnetic compatibility
- TR EAEU 037/2016 On the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment
the mark is applied to the product, the label, the product packaging or the package insert.
The following information must be attached to the device:
- name and (or) designation of devices (type, brand, model)
- its main parameters and safety-influencing properties
- name and (or) trademark and country of origin
- if it is impossible to attach this information to the device, simply mention it in the operating instructions
The following must also be stated on the packaging:
- name of the device (type, brand, model)
- manufacturer's name and (or) its trademark
The operating instructions must contain the following points:
- name and (or) designation of devices (type, brand, model)
- its main parameters and safety-influencing properties
- intended use of the low voltage device
- name and (or) trademark and country of origin
- conditions for safe operation (use)
- general conditions for assembly, storage, transport, sale and
recycling (if necessary - defining requirements for the device) - information about the action to be taken when a malfunction is detected
- date of manufacture: year and month
- EAC sign
Marking of EX equipment for use in potentially explosive areas
In accordance with TR CU 012/2011 On safety of the EX equipment for operation in explosive atmosheres , the EX marking should include:
- name of the manufacturer and its registered trade markers
- type of device
- serial number
- number of the certificate of conformity
- explosion protection marking
The mark must be affixed to the surface of the device or on a label. The marking should be accessible without dismantling the device or using the tool and should remain throughout the life of the device.
The following information can also be attached:
- nominal voltage or nominal voltage range
- continuous voltage
- kind of electricity
- symbol of the protection class against personal injury caused by electricity
- IP protection
- weight
- size
- date of manufacture: year and month
Marking of pressure equipment and pressure vessels
According to TR CU 032/2013 On safety of pressure equipment the marking should include:
- name and (or) name of type, brand, model
- parameters and features that affect safety
- material
- trademark
- serial number
- date of manufacture: year and month
- EAC sign
The place where the marking is attached is determined by the manufacturer and specified in the operating instructions.
Marking of children's goods
In accordance with the technical regulation TR CU 007/2011 On safety of the products for children and teenagers , the mark is applied to the product, the label, the product packaging or the package insert.
The following information is mandatory:
- country of manufacture
- name and address of the manufacturer
- name and intended use of the product
- date of manufacture: year and month
- EAC sign
- product life
- warranty
- trademarks (if any)
For imported products, it is permitted to provide the name of the country, the manufacturer and its address in Latin.
It is prohibited to use the "environmentally friendly", "orthopaedic" and other similar instructions without confirmation.
The label of the pacifier should be attached to the closed packaging and contain information about the guarantee, instructions for use, storage and hygienic product care.
Child care hygiene products must provide instructions with information on the purpose, size and recommendations for the correct choice of the type and size of the product, the way of care of the product and its disposal.
Marking of the dishes must contain the operating instructions and information on the material.
Products that are not intended for contact with food must be marked accordingly - "For non-food products" - or have a reference to their specific purpose.
The clothing made of textile, leather, fur or knit must additionally contain information with such instructions:
- the type and mass fraction (hundreds of percent) of natural and chemical fibers in the covering material and in the lining (the deviation of the factual relevance of the hundred percent from the raw material should not exceed 5%)
- the type of fur and how it is processed (dyed or not dyed); the size of the goods according to the typical scale or according to the requirements of the standards for the specific type of goods
- the symbols relating to the maintenance of goods and (or) the instructions on the special features of the maintenance of goods during use (if necessary)
Marking of shoes must include information on size, model, upper, lining, sole, shoe care and use.
Marking of backpacks and briefcases must contain information about the age of the user.
The leather goods must have the following information: material, conditions of use and care.
Strollers must include instructions for use, including the age of the children for whom they are intended, assembly, installation instructions, and warranty information.
Bicycles must contain instructions for use with user weight and age, recommended assembly and warranty information.
The use of the terms "environmentally friendly" and "orthopaedic" and others is not permitted if there is no corresponding confirmation.
Marking of toys
The technical regulation TR СU 008/2011 On safety of toys requires the following marking:
- name of the toy
- country of Manufacture
- name and address of the manufacturer, importer and contact details
- manufacturer brand
- information on the minimum age of the child or pictogram with the minimum age of the child
- building material (for children under 3, if necessary)
- care instructions (if necessary)
- date of manufacture: year and month
- lifespan (if necessary)
- storage conditions (if necessary)
- EAC sign
Depending on the type of toy, the content of the label includes: equipment (for sets), rules of use, information on care, safety measures when handling the toy, warning signs, assembly instructions.
Warnings should contain special precautionary measures, which are described in Appendix 3 of the technical regulations.
Toys that are not intended for children under 3 years of age must be marked with the graphic name with a warning about the age group.
Instruction manuals for swings, slides, rings, trapezoids, ropes and toys with a similar purpose that have a cross member must include assembly instructions for the component, as they can be dangerous if they are not assembled properly.
The label "Warning! Use only under the direct supervision of adults." Must be affixed to the functional toy or its packaging.
A chemical toy must have operating instructions that point out the danger and have information on first aid.
The packaging of the food containing the toy must have a warning "Contains a toy" attached.
Inline skates and skateboards, if they are sold as toys, must be marked with a warning sign "Caution! Protective equipment recommended!”
Toys for water should be marked "Warning! Use in shallow water only under adult supervision!"
Marking of perfumes and cosmetics
The technical regulation TR CU 009/2011 On safety of perfumes and cosmetic products specifies that the marking takes place in the form of inscriptions, digital, coloured or graphic names on the consumer packaging and label. If the product has a sticker label, a graphic sign in the form of a hand must be placed on an open book.
The following information must be available:
- name of the product
- usage
- cosmetics for children must be marked accordingly
- manufacturer's name and address
- country of manufacture if the address differs from the address of the manufacturer
- name and address of the importer or the authorized representative
- nominal quantity (volume or mass) of the product in the consumer packaging, excluding perfumes and cosmetics with a nominal weight of less than 5 g or for testers
- colour and / or tone (for decorative cosmetics and dyes)
- mass fraction of fluoride (% or mg / kg or ppm) for oral hygiene products containing fluoride
- expiry date: date of manufacture (year and month) and lifespan (months, years)
- description of the storage conditions if these conditions deviate from the standard
- special precautions
- delivery number or special code to identify the delivery of perfumery and cosmetic products
- information about the use of perfumes and cosmetics
- list of ingredients

Marking of clothing, shoes and textiles
The technical regulation TR CU 017/2011 On safety of light industry products specifies certain requirements for the marking of finished goods. The label should be affixed to the product, product label, product packaging or package insert.
The following information must be available:
- product name
- country
- name of the manufacturer or importer or the authorized representative
- address of the manufacturer or importer or the authorized representative
- size
- composition of materials
- trademark if available
- EAC sign
- manufacturer guarantee, if required
- date of manufacture: year and month
- number of the consignment
For clothing and textile products, the label should contain additional information:
- type and mass fraction (percent) of natural and chemical materials of the top and the lining of the product. Deviation should not exceed +/- 5 percent

- instructions for shoe care (if necessary)
For fur clothing:

The instructions "environmentally friendly", "orthopaedic" and other similar information may not be attached without confirmation.
Marking of food
Technical regulation TR CU 022/2011 On food marking stipulates the following marking requirements:
- name of the food
- the ingredients of the food
- the net fill quantity
- date of Manufacture
- the best-before date or use-by date
- storage conditions
- name / company and address of the food business operator
- recommendations and (or) restrictions on use, including with regard to food preparation, if they can be harmful to health
- nutrition marking
- information about genetically modified organisms
- EAC sign
The mark must be placed on the consumer packaging and / or on the label, which is difficult to remove.
The mark must be in Russian and or in the official language of one of the member states of the EAEU, if required by the legislation of the country.
Marking of packaged food may contain additional information, including information about the document used to produce and identify food, invented name, trademark, exclusive trademark right, designation of origin, name and location of the licensor, signs of voluntary conformity assessments.

Marking of furniture
The technical regulation TR CU 025/2012 On safety of furniture prescribes the following marking.
Consumer information is provided in the form of labels, operating instructions and, if applicable, assembly instructions.
The label must be in Russian and or in the official language of one of the EAEU member states, if required by the country's legislation.

When dismantling the furniture, the label must be included in the packaging together with the assembly instructions.
Marking of Chemicals
Marking of chemical products in accordance with TR CU 041/2017 On safety of chemicals the following information must be included regarding chemical safety:
- name of the chemical product that was identified when it was identified (the name of the chemical product can also contain a trade name (company name))
- name, address and telephone number of the manufacturer or importer
- the designation of chemicals and mixtures classified as dangerous and contained in chemical products in quantities that exceed the concentrations given in the standards of the list of international, national and regional (intergovernmental) standards. The result of its voluntary application ensures compliance with the requirements of this technical regulation.
- storage conditions and manufacturer's guarantee (durability, etc.)
- name of the document according to which the chemical products are manufactured (if available)
- information on the dangerous properties of chemical products, including warnings.
The marking must be in Russian and, if the laws of the Member States so require, in the official languages of the Member State in whose territory the chemical products are sold.
The marking must be clear and legible, resistant to mechanical stress, chemicals and climatic influences and must be retained until chemical products are completely used and (or) disposed of (processed).
The marking of this product may contain additional information.
Chemical products are marked directly on the product packaging or on the label attached to the packaging. Warning notices must highlight and comply with GOST 31340-2013.
The warning label is attached in the form of a hazard sign, a hazard symbol, a signal word and contains a description of the measures to avoid hazards in accordance with GOST 31340-2013.
If there is not enough space for the marking on the packaging, a mark or an insert must be attached to the chemical product, where all the required information is fully stated.
